Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the application of essential oils to the body via massage and inhalation. Each oil has its own therapeutic properties acting on the skin, muscles, circulation and the body’s systems – nervous, digestive, endocrine, respiratory, urinary, lymphatic and reproductive.

This holistic form of healing treatment can help with various symptoms, ranging from insomnia, stress and tension, muscular aches and stiffness to PMS, menopausal issues and digestion. It can also refine the condition of scar tissue after surgery and improve overall mood and wellbeing.

What to expect at your first appointment:

Before we can begin, a consultation with me is essential – it allows me as an Aromatherapist, to understand how I can help you. I want you to feel safe and comfortable, and to get the most out of each treatment. Everything you discuss with me is confidential, be it illnesses, allergies or emotional problems you may be experiencing. I will select the essential oils that are relevant to your needs and will explain why I’ve chosen certain oils.

After your treatment it is always advisable to drink plenty of water for the rest of the day.

Please note that complementary therapy is used alongside conventional medicine. It is not a replacement. It is advisable to contact your GP for medical attention should you have any concerns.
