Don't Be Afraid Of Facial Oil

Many people worry that using a facial oil will make their skin greasy, clog pores, or cause breakouts, but that’s a misconception! Don't be scared of facial oils:

Facial oils can balance your skin:

If you have oily skin, you might think adding oil is counterproductive. However, many facial oils help regulate sebum production, preventing your skin from overproducing oil.

They don’t clog pores:

Not all oils are heavy or comedogenic (pore-clogging) Many are easily absorbed and suitable for all skin types, including acne-prone skin. All of my facial oils contains oils that have a low comedogenic rating.

Moisturising without the greasy feel:

Facial oils lock in moisture and prevent water loss, making your skin feel soft and nourished rather than greasy. They protect the skins natural barrier.
Many facial oils are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and fatty acids that protect against environmental damage, reduce inflammation, and promote a healthy glow.

They work for all skin types:

Oily, normal, combination or dry. Facial oil is for everyone.

They enhance other skincare products:

Facial oils can boost the effectiveness of moisturisers by sealing in hydration and nutrients. They also work well as a base under makeup for a dewy look. A drop added into your foundation adds radiance to your complexion.

A little goes a long way:

You only need a small amount to see the benefits, so facial oils won’t overwhelm your skin when used correctly.

If you are new to using a facial oil then try adding a couple of drops to your existing moisturiser before using it as a stand alone moisturiser.

With the majority of my clients once they switch to an oil they are hooked.

It is recommended to use a facial mist before using a facial oil. Oils are highly concentrated and contain no water therefore it is important to hydrate your skin by misting first or ensuring that your skin is damp.
