As Christmas is nearly upon us I thought I’d feature Myrrh this time round. A major skin oil with powerful healing properties
This beautiful oil comes from the bitter orange tree. This incredible tree produces three essential oils, one being Petitgrain.
Not an essential oil this week but I talk about a carrier oil. Without a carrier oil I would struggle to perform an aromatherapy treatment. Just like essential oils a carrier oil has huge properties too.
Not an essential oil that many are familiar with but a powerful detoxifier of the liver and kidneys and a superb skin oil.
Who would have thought that the pot of basil in your kitchen could be so powerful when the oil is used in aromatherapy? The aroma has me salivating. I adore its properties.
Geranium is a little like marmite. You either love it or hate it! Personally I love it. Not the actual plant as I don’t like the aroma at all but the oil I think is amazing….
Lavender. The one essential oil that people will always hold some knowledge about it. Most think it is one of the safest oils but are they right?
Think of the smell of rice pudding. Warming, comforting and calming. A childhood memory for many. Such a complex oil in both its chemistry and aroma. A prime musculoskeletal and psychological oil helping with many emotional issues.
Flamboyant and expressive. Vibrant, provocative sensual and showy. Ylang Ylang is a euphoric oil and one most associated with being an aphrodisiac.
Uplifting and enlivening. A rescue from the doldrums when you are on a journey but you aren’t going anywhere. An oil that is particularly helpful with depression.
